The Oregon Trail

The organ trail was a rough time. There has been so many changes in the world. The economy is much more advanced. These days there is a lot of technology that makes our life a lot easier.

Back then, they had wagons now days we have cars. They had oxen and horses pulling them. Now, cars run off a machine and gas. They also had to walk hundreds of miles and now we can drive that long sitting on our phones or watching a movie. Technology is everything now days.

They did not have to worry about taxes or houses on the organ trail. Today we have taxes and back then they didn’t even know what taxes were. Today if we get paycheck, taxes has to come out of our paycheck. The wealthier you are the more income tax you pay. Money these days is worth a lot more than money those days.

If someone on your wagon got a disease, they would leave everyone on your wagon to die. Now they have medicine and treatments to help your disease. If one person on your wagon got it then more than likely, your whole wagon would get it and everyone would die.

The organ trail was one of the toughest time for some people. Walking hundreds of miles just to get to the Oregon Territory. We should all be thankful for what we have today.
